Sunday Special – Form Function Form Shell Cordovan Watch Strap

A few weeks back, I received a message from Shawn Reed, the proprietor of the newly established Florida-based accessories brand-Form Function Form.  These past couple months Shawn has done a pretty impressive job of getting his name out there, so when he offered to send me one of his shell cordovan watch straps to try out, my interest was piqued.  Of all things in my wardrobe, my pair of watches are undoubtedly the most important to me, so I was both skeptical and intrigued by the new strap.  I personally went with Whisky shell because I wanted a lighter color that would darken overtime, a process that I’m pleased to say has started already.  I don’t know Shawn that well so I’m not sure what his background is, but I have to say, the design the fairly ingenious, and I’m really surprised I haven’t seen anything like it before.  Until Shawn sent me this, I’d been relying on NATO straps, but I’ve always had the issue with them being too long, and having to worry about cutting them  down to size and possibly fraying the edges.  With the Form Function Form strap this problem is eliminated entirely as the fit has to be exact because of the button closure design, which makes for a cleaner aesthetic overall.  Add in the fact that the leather is some of the best in the states and you have a strap that can instantly elevate the look of any watch.
